MMA Officials Australia Mission Statement

MMA Officials Australia develop and produce professional officials who have attended and passed the MMA Officials Australia accreditation course, these officials posses the necessary skills to competently officiate any size Mixed Martial Arts Event.

MMA Officials Australia are dedicated in educating all participants involved with Mixed Martial Arts events, we have developed a basic course for corner men and fighters to gain a better understanding of the rules, legalities and scoring system used in Mixed Martial Arts. We have also developed an accreditation course for people wanting to become an official (referee, judge and/or time keeper) to gain an advanced knowledge of the rules, legalities and scoring system used in Mixed Martial.

As with the trends of overseas Mixed Martial Arts events, the promoters are forced to abide by sanctioning laws regulating their events, promoting fairness and safety for fighters. MMA Officials Australia are passionate advocates for Mixed Martial Arts and are intent on helping the sport to grow in Australia like it has overseas, for this reason promoters are encouraged to run an MMA Officials Australia sanctioned event, with professional, accredited officials, this will ensure fairness and fighter safety and only then will Mixed Martial Arts gain popularity and acceptance by the Public with official recognition from the Australian Government.
